Such a lovely, peaceful stay. We took our kiddos in the canoe and enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire and swimming at the beach.
Kent is the ultimate host! He is on top of his game , always making sure everything is perfect . The island is a beautiful get away surrounded by sparkling clean water full of fish, turtles and my personal favorite , the loons. <br/>I highly recommend you visit 1BSI , it’s not to be missed!
We had a wonderful stay - felt private. I went with my two kids and dog. Kent was super on top of everything.
Our stay at 1 Big sustainable island was a great and unforgettable experience. The island is beautiful and loon point where we stayed was so beautiful and clean and close to the water! For being in the woods there was little bugs. Kent was the best host and had amazing recommendations and was extremely helpful when we needed more ice, batteries and just a trip to the shore. This was a great weekend away and I would go back in a heat beat!

We absolutely cannot wait to come back. Kent was amazing, answered all of our calls and questions and even helped us to the island for a small fee, we arrived late so he had to take his boat back out which is completely understandable. The stay was perfect except for rain (make sure to check weather if booking ahead)! You could hear the wildlife all around you and just the feeling of being one with nature was so refreshing. Thank you Kent and 1bsi for all you do to give your guests a wonderful stay.
Kent was an amazing host. So responsive and hospitable. He reached out a couple of times to check in and see if we needed anything brought to the island. He explained all the amenities clearly and was so gracious. 10/10 experience
What an amazing stay! After a warm welcome and educational boat ride, Kent graciously helped move our things to the tent where we got to spend a wonderful stay at this beautiful and serene getaway. The beds were very comfortable, especially getting to fall asleep to the music of numerous loons. Our dogs loved it too! The well water provided was delicious and all other amenities easily accessible. Kent really thought of everything and was readily available should you need something extra. It was very clear this island is his passion, such attention and enthusiasm made for a truly lovely stay. One of our favorite airbnbs, we'll be back!
