Loon Point is a front-row seat to one of Maine’s most iconic performances. Perched above Annabessacook Lake with sweeping 270-degree views, this island tent overlook is serenaded daily by loons — calling across the water at dawn, echoing at dusk, and occasionally laughing you to sleep. It’s a stay shaped by their rhythms, where mornings begin with mist and music and evenings end with the lake settling into quiet loon conversation.

What a fantastic stay at this awesome spot! my wife and I chose the island tent overlook and was not disappointed. Everything was well thought out from the moment we pulled into the driveway. The view from the tent is nothing short of stunning. Between taking a stroll on the island, going out for a paddle on the canoe, and hanging out by the fire it was easy to not feel the need to be attached to our phones like we normally would. But if we did need to quickly indulge we weren't spending all day searching for a signal, service was great here(we have tmobile). Communication if we ever needed to contact Kent was prompt. There will definitely be a repeat trip in the future.
It is impossible to put into words how amazing my stay was at 1BSI. From arrival to departure, everything was perfect. Kent was responsive and brought me any supplies I may have needed. The island itself provided a great place to unwind, meditate, and relax. I even was able to work remotely on the island (thanks Kent for supplying rechargeable batteries daily). Cell service was strong. Highly recommend whether you’re looking for a remote place to work, a place to disconnect, or a mixture of both. Will definitely be coming back again.
