Pet-Friendly Island Dome on Lake w/Free Kayaks

we absolutely loved our visit to the Island! Kent is an incredible host making sure you have everything you need, he really makes your stay so seamless and enjoyable!! <br/>Our two dogs had the best time ever as well, waking up for sunrise and taking a walk around as they explored was so peaceful. They loved having a dock right in front of our site to jump off and go for a swim! truly a dogs paradise!! It was great to be so secluded in nature enjoying each other, all of the sounds and beautiful sights, especially sitting by the fire hearing the loons! This was our first time visiting and surely will not be the last!

Kent has created paradise on Earth! It is much like an adult summer camp, all the fun with none of the pressure to organize. The whole process of checking and settling in is easy and convenient. Kent and the team are incredible hosts and accommodating at every turn. 1BSI is a public place during the day which is a hard to find now a days. The activities are endless and sure to awake a childhood sense of adventure. The perfect opportunity to rest, recharge, and reconnect.

We had a great time staying on the island. We had everything we needed, Kent was a great host with lots of information and help provided. The kayaking and canoeing was such a lovely way to explore and get to/back from the island. The tent and amenities were all as listed and we had a great time. Listening to the loons on the deck was a highlight. Highly recommend.

A unique experience. Worry free and easy living on the island. A lot of supplies provided. Watching the sunset on my private dock was amazing. Good swimming and kayaking. <br/>A couple things to be aware of, you are not alone on the island, there are 5 dwellings but you feel alone most of the time. I could hear highway noise, wasn’t bad, almost like white noise but you are not completely isolated. But is very relaxing and quiet for the most part. <br/>Enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning.

I can’t imagine having anything negative to say. The host makes sure you are as happy and comfortable as can be throughout the stay. Everything was wonderful. The location, we stayed hemlock haven, was very private and yet we didn’t feel alone or stranded. We will for sure be back. My kids had a blast running around and waiting for the dogs to run around. My husband got to fish. & I didn’t have to set up or clean up, which is my usual reason for hating camping as a family. Bonus, great fishing on the lake. It’s a great place to spend time. I plan on coming back & staying longer.

This is in the top 5 of my AirBnb adventures! You get exactly what is described, plus a friendly and attentive host. I came to fish and explore the lake with my own canoe, and it was perfect for that. It was very easy camping because of all of the amenities. I will definitely be back with the wife!

The Glampsite was fantastic (clean, equipped, etc), the location beautiful and the host, Kent could not have been more accommodating, helpful and friendly. We endeavor to return!

Awesome spot! I had a great stay, really enjoyed being able to spend some time kayaking and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Kent was super helpful and made sure I had everything I needed.

1BSI is a special place! Kent has provided a true 5 star experience in rural Maine. The attention to detail him and his team have put into the island provides the guests with a unforgettable experience. It rained the whole time we were there and it didn't bother us one bit because of how comfortable the Hemlock Haven was. Highly recommend and 5 STARS all the way!
